So, since they went this far I agree with you, they should take it a step further and finish it as an actual app for others to aspire to. I think the problem is they took it to a point where it feels like an intentionally useful app, especially since it's part of the UI's 'Ink apps' and all that. I think all MS had in mind was to build an example app that used their Ink API's. Give it pressure sensitivity and layer control, and I can see it being a decent casual sketching program. Good image editor, but it does the job for quick work. This isn'tĪll Microsoft really needed to do was add stylus pressure sensitivity, tool shapes, and layers, to Paint. You cannot create a larger, or smaller image. You are restricted to just what you can draw, in the space you have. Drawing area is limited to just your screen size. You can use a marker, which is solid and round, a faux pencil look, which is garbage, and a highlighter. I'm not asking for Photoshop, here, just layers, colours, and selecting would be nice. There's a crop tool, but that's not the same thing. It's notīad, in Windows 10, but it's far from perfect. Isn't behaving, and you just want to use your stylus. There is no way to disable touch, in case palm rejection You position the "ruler" using multitouch, but you can't input with two fingers. The colour selector is limited to just thirty colours, with no ability to add a custom colour. It's basically OneNote's drawing tools, with a ruler.
